The son of Rudolf Hess, Hitler's right-hand Nazi, has gone to Britain to plead for his father's release from Berlin's Spandau Prison, where he is serving a life sentence as a war criminal. Wolf Hess, the son, is 29 and a civil engineer. He is visiting all the British who had any connection with Rudolf's famous "peace flight" to Scotland in 1931. The former deputy Fuehrer hasn't seen his son or his wife since that time, and supposedly is insane. Wolf Hess points out that his father was not found guilty of war crimes but of the lesser charges of conspiracy and crimes against the peace, and therefore should have got a lighter sentence. Here Wolf is sitting among the sightseers in London's Trafalgar Square. Photo measures 8 x 10 inches. Photo is dated 07-03-1967. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK
