Here is an original June 1976 VINTAGE (serial number is FM) men's SCHWINN COLLEGIATE 5-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing RADIANT LIME GREEN colored factory paint. This color is awesome and arguably one of the most desirable colors offered by Schwinn in the 60s and for a short span in the 70s! If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, original screen chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, Schwinn seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn comfort hand grips, full fenders, Schwinn reflector pedals, Schwinn derailleur, and more! I got this one basically just like you see it.
*The tires are 26x1 3/8". They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-6 rims front and rear.
*The bike is an original FIVE-SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need adjustment or possible cable replacement as this one has been in very long term storage)
*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 32". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 33". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 24". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22 1/2". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust
*NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint! Paint is super cool color! (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. (rear fender looks to be a slightly newer replacement)wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
*SHIPPING NOTE... Sometimes the packers have to get a little creative with these tall frame bikes and either let the air out of the rear tire or remove both tires and pack the bike upside down so it fits in the shipping box without going oversize. They have done this numerous times successfully! Just wanted to give you a "just in case" heads up.
