🕊️ Original 16-page Moscow Patriarchate press information packet dated October 30, 1990, issued by the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church Holy Synod.
Prepared for members of the press, radio, and television, the packet contains official documents adopted during the Russian Orthodox Church Bishops' Council held in Moscow, October 25–27, 1990.
A substantial portion of the document concerns the status and governance of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, making it an important primary-source document from the final year of the Soviet Union and immediately preceding Ukrainian independence.

He worked asAssistant Director of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and the archive is a private collection of Cold War-era research materials that he assembled mostly while working at their Munich Germany headquarters. Ihave many items and listed fromthe archive, including original Soviet government, religious, political, and social documents acquired for research and analysis during the late Cold War. Many items bear original routing, filing, and research annotations reflecting their use in archival and news broadcasts and research environments. Comparable collections of Soviet source materials were maintained by organizations such as Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty for research and broadcasting purposes during this period.
