49 Grams Aquamarine Crystal From Shigar Valley, Pakistan Description : A Striking Natural Aquamarine (beryl) Doubly-Terminated Crystal inside Tourmaline Combine Quartz From the Shigar Valley/Skardu Mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, displaying an Attractive Elongated Prismatic Form and Saturated Sky-blue Coloration. The Crystal Has a substantial, well-developed hexagonal prism with strong longitudinal striations and a vitreous to glassy luster. The specimen is presented with a natural coating/association of Quartz/Tourmaline along the sides and middle portion of the crystal, providing an attractive contrast against the blue aquamarine. The Quartz has the characteristic layered, micaceous appearance associated with Pakistani pegmatite specimens. Aquamarine from northern Pakistan is well known for its association with Tourmaline..
