US Navy Rescue Walkie Talkie Radio
Offered here is this transceiver WW II walkie talkie a truly rare find.
It is not operational as the batteries are obsolete but a great piece of WWII history.
Mainly used by the Navy but in some cases was used by the Air Force too.
Condition is good for it's age and seems to be complete with exception of a hitch pin to lock the button controls.

The AN/CRC-7 is a battery operated handheld transceiver used for Air-Sea rescue work.
The headphone is used as a microphone on transmit, amplitude-modulated.
The transmitter works at a fixed frequency of 140.58 Mhz, crystal-controlled, and the receiver has a super-regenerative detector.
This is an American SAR -Radio from 1942.
This was the first handheld two-way voice radio.
It was used by the Navy, but may also have been used by the Army Airforce (AAF).
After WWII it was used on two meters by many Radio Amateurs. Frequency: 140.58 MHz.
