Antique 1889 Victorian Pewter Prize Mug H.S.C. Carleton Green Open Match Trophy:
$64.99

This is a genuine, authentic 19th-century Victorian hand-engraved prize mug / beaker dating back to March 1889.

The front of the vessel features a stunning, crisp period-accurate hand engraving that details a historic sporting triumph:

"H.S.C. / 1st Prize / Open Match / Carleton Green / March 1889"

The block initials "H.S.C." likely represent a historic Highland Society Club, Sailing/Yacht Club, or regional Sporting Club of the era. Victorian "Open Matches" at a "Green" typically point to traditional competitive lawn bowls, curling, golf, or shooting events. This piece features a beautiful, untouched dark silver/pewter antique patina that beautifully highlights its age.
