This piece is an early 20th-century Art Nouveau gold gilded metal trinket box made by the Benedict Manufacturing Company (Model No. 921). This oval jewelry casket features a beautiful, raised floral relied design with small stylized feet.

Highlight: The Standout feature of this piece is its original padded silk/faille interior lining, completely with the the metallic twisted cord trim. Finding these 110+ year-old boxes with an intact fabric interior is very uncommon. The hinge is original, solid, and functions smoothly.

Condition Notes: The exterior shows significant signs of age and wear. There is noticeable paint loss, surface scratches, and chipping to the gold finish (particularly along edges and back, exposing the dark base metal underneath as pictured. The underside maker\'s mark is obscured by the rough, sand-cast metal texture.
