Crafted during the height of the Japanese export boom, it features classic hand-painted figures framed by intricate, textured \"moriage\" (raised enamel) detailing and gilded accents.Because it was produced during an era where pieces were frequently outfitted with temporary paper or foil import labels rather than painted backstamps, the underside of the base is completely unmarked. It stands as a wonderfully preserved, authentic example of turn-of-the-century Japanese export artistry.
