The Woven Silk Ribbon (Stevengraph)

Antique Victorian Thomas Stevens Silk Bookmark Stevengraph Faith Hope Charity

Up for sale is an authentic 19th-century Victorian woven silk bookmark manufactured by the legendary T. Stevens of Coventry, England. This highly collectible piece features a vibrant, multi-colored graphic layout depicting "Faith, Hope, and Charity" intertwined with iconic anchor, cross, and heart imagery, alongside an open Holy Bible and stanzas from the classic hymn "Rock of Ages".Condition Report:

The front face displays beautiful coloration and crisp woven text. The reverse side properly retains the woven maker’s attributes text reading "T. Stevens, Coventry". Please note the pointed bottom tab has partially split/frayed along the fold line due to age—an incredibly common trait for silk fibers of this vintage (please see detailed photos).Provenance: Tucked safely inside an 1896 family Bible belonging to the Strong family of New York. Please check my other items if you wish to see the Bible volume.
