Antique Waterbury Clock Co. Exeter mantel clock dating to approximately 1900. This substantial wooden case clock features a round brass-tone bezel, glass-covered dial, key-wound mechanical movement, pendulum, and coil gong strike.
The brass movement is clearly marked “Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A.” and carries a Sept. 13, 1898 patent date.
The clock retains an attractive turn-of-the-century architectural case with curved sides and decorative geometric accents surrounding the dial. Original-style winding key is included as shown.
A handsome early American Waterbury mantel clock with a clearly marked movement and strong display presence.
