This item is an antique or vintage Waterbury Clock Co. wooden shelf or mantel clock featuring a rounded "drum" clock head mounted atop a stepped wooden pedestal base.
The casing is crafted from wood with a warm medium-oak finish, featuring a decorative metal or cast applique on the lower front face and metal feet supporting the base.
The clock face is protected behind a glass bezel and framed by a polished brass rim, displaying an off-white dial with stylized black Arabic numerals, black clock hands, and twin winding key arbors.
A close examination reveals notable wear and condition issues consistent with age and previous use.
The top-right section of the wooden drum case has noticeable chips and small pieces of wood missing from the finish.
Fine wire-like or hairline surface marks and minor cracks are visible along the upper rim and sides of the wood housing, along with scuffs and wear along the lower wooden edges. Inside, the exposed brass movement is stamped with the maker's mark reading "Waterbury Clock Co.".
All original components are included with the exception of the winding key.
The pendulum is included with the clock. Mechanically, the movement does not stay running and will require service, adjustment, or repair, so the item is being offered for sale as-is for parts, repair, or restoration project purposes.
