Antique Austro-Hungarian military themed decorative box featuring an image of Emperor Franz Joseph I on horseback with inscription:
“Regiments Preisspringen Laibach 1914”
Laibach is the historic German name for present-day Ljubljana. The scene appears related to an early 20th century military equestrian or regimental event from the Austro-Hungarian Empire period.
The image is marked:
“Se. Majestät Kaiser Franz Josef I 1849”
Heavy construction with silver-tone metal exterior frame and fitted wooden compartment interior. Box weighs approximately 5 lbs.
