MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES Blackfeet Scrimshaw Hunting Knife Buffalo Bone Handles

This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana knife showing an artful, Blackfeet American Indian scrimshaw. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon, which is then heated and folded into 396 layers, creating a wonderful wide ladder Damascus pattern. The hollow grind, full tang blade has been paired with a set of white Buffalo bone grips etched with the image of a Blackfoot Chief. The scales are secured using a mosaic pin, three brass pins, and lanyard loop. Note the very light marks on the brass bolsters.
The tang has been artfully hand vine filled. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping, which shows the state outline of Montana. The knife has been paired with a hand craftedleather sheath made from American Buffalo. Overall, the knife measures 11 1/8\" long with the blade being 6\" long. The sheath and knife together measure 12 1/2\" long.#371/345681
