Made by Craighead Denver, this authentic piece of militaria is a valuable collectible from the United States during the World War II period. The holster represents the history and equipment used by the US Army during this time, making it a desirable item for collectors of military memorabilia. See pictures. I identified this item from looking at pics of other listings. On this piece the exposed areas are dyed black while the back and inside are the original brown leather. I believe this was purchased form the Army surplus storage that was located at Fort Benjamine Harrison near Indianapolis, in the late 1960s The seal is lightly embossed but definitely says Craighead.
