EMERSON Model 838 Tube/Transistor Radio. WORKING w/Clam Shell Batteries, Instru:
$125.00

This is a nice Emerson model 838. Made in 1955. Uses 3 tubes and 2 transistors.
The radio currently works, receiving all six of my local stations with good volume. Condition is average to good with scratches seen on the rear, bottom and a couple on the front. There is a very small chip at the B battery opening. Both battery compartments are free of battery leakage.
The clam shell is in very good condition. Instruction sheet is included.
I\'ve included a homemade B battery. I used a 3.7 volt lithium rechargeable battery for the A battery (I can\'t ship it).
No guarantees can be made on old, vintage electronics as to their continuing operation.
