Early Light House Mohegan Bluff Block Island Rhode Island Signed Framed Sketch. Professionally 12\" x 12\" framed and protected 3.5\" x 4.5\" signed sketch. It is thought that this sketch was done in the 1930s - 1940s era.

Coast Guard House Station Block Island, established in 1872, reconstructed in 1886, and rebuilt in 1935, ending year-round operations in 1988 and eventually becoming a seasonal summer facility managed by the town.

A separate structure, the New Shoreham Life Saving Station, built in 1888, was moved in 1967 to the Mystic Seaport Museum for preservation.

Station Block Island (Southwest Point)

1872:The initial \"Block Island, Southwest Point\" station was built, serving as the first Coast Guard presence on the island.

1886:The station was enlarged and reconstructed.

1935:The station underwent a significant rebuilding.
