Man Holding Two Huge Fish Cigarette in Mouth Car Family VTG Photo 1950s, 4.5x3.5Original vintage black and white snapshot dated May 1956 showing a man proudly displaying two enormous freshly caught fish while standing outside a suburban home. He holds one large fish in each hand and has a cigarette hanging from his mouth, giving the image a fantastic candid quality. A woman and two children stand nearby watching and smiling, while two period automobiles, palm trees and the residential neighborhood provide an excellent 1950s backdrop. The combination of the oversized catch, cigarette smoking fisherman, vintage cars and family scene makes this a particularly strong piece of vernacular photography. The scalloped border is marked May 56, firmly dating the photograph. Great original image for collectors of vintage fishing photographs, large fish, smoking imagery, automobiles and unusual mid century snapshots.
