RPPC Willoughby Marks WWI Memorial Apalachicola FL Model T Flags Adults Children:
$150.00

This rare real photo postcard captures the dedication of the Willoughby Ryan Marks memorial in Apalachicola, Florida. Lieutenant Marks served with Co. C, 61st Infantry, 5th Division, and was killed in the Argonne in October 1918 while attempting to save a wounded comrade — an act of valor the monument still commemorates today at 4th and Columbus Streets. The photograph shows a crowd of onlookers and seated children gathered around the newly dedicated monument, flanked by a line of flag-draped Ford Model T touring cars, likely dating the scene to the early 1920s.Please see both front and back high resolution images for any imperfections.Images are of the actual item you will receive.
