Original 1943 WWII U.S. Army CBI Theater (Burma/India) Snapshot Photo Archive (7 Total)
Up for sale is an incredibly rare, cohesive lot of 6 matching original WWII snapshots tracking a U.S. Army Tech 5 soldier named \"Stan\" during his deployment to the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater in 1943.
The seven Photos Include:
1. Portrait of \"Stan\" (Front): Signed \"Stan 1943\", showing his Tech 5 rank chevron and pith helmet.
2. Portrait (Back): Written \"Stan, Burma, 1943\" and \"Taken in Calcutta, India 1943.\" Features a clear red \"PASSED BY ARMY EXAMINER\" military censorship stamp.
3. Group Tiger Hunt: Soldiers posing with a massive tiger carcass in the jungle.
4. Tiger & Military Jeep: The tiger laid out in front of the vehicle.
5. Jungle Snake: A large line of soldiers holding an incredible python in the brush.
6. Monster Fish: Two soldiers holding up a huge catch next to a military truck.
7. Field Portrait of \"Stan\": Standing at attention with a rifle in full field gear and canvas cartridge belt directly outside his military wall tent camp.
A spectacular, narrative-driven piece of World War II jungle warfare history. Finding a completely intact photo lot showing the exact same soldier alongside exotic big-game military hunting pictures is incredibly scarce.
Please note the sizing in the last picture. These are snapshots and measure a few inches each.
