Unique Ken Edwards Sun Face Mexican Pottery Plate. The plate depicts a face with sunrays around it, surrounded by a radial leaf pattern. Signed "KE, Mexico, Chino" on bottom. One of a kind, unique collectors piece. Ken Edwards (1926-2022) was an American ceramic artist who is most known for his handcrafted pottery in Tonala, Jalisco, Mexico. His work style included traditional Mexican ceramic techniques with influences of Japanese and Scandinavian styles. While living in Tonala, he founded his company, Ken Edwards Stoneware. A chronology of his pieces from the 1960s to present day can be found at the Museo Regional de la Ceramica and the Pantaleon Panduro Museum. Dimensions: 10"Dia. x 1.25"Depth.
