Original 1950s / 1960s Barkcloth Fabric Panels – Rare Slub Weave
A beautiful pair of authentic mid-century textile panels featuring a striking abstract, stylised floral design in Pink, turquoise, yellow set against a grey / blue background. Perfect for small vintage windows (campervans, caravans, or café style) or as a premium textile salvage lot for crafting.FABRIC / TEXTURE:
This is premium, heavy-weight original barkcloth (feels like 100% cotton). It features a gorgeous, deliberate two-tone slub weave, with natural white textural slub yarns running structurally through the warp and weft to create a classic, authentic mid-century nubby texture. (Please note: the multi-tonal colour variance is a feature of the structural weave, not sun fading).CONDITION:
* Construction: Finished with a top tunnel/casing, ready to slide straight onto a curtain wire, tension rod, or slim pole.* Vintage Character: Offered in Good vintage condition. There are a few small frayed holes (pictured). Due to the beautifully busy and complex abstract pattern, this is entirely unnoticeable when hung or cut for patterns but could be patched if desired.DIMENSIONS (Mismatched Pair) :* Panel 1: 31.5\" x 29.5\" (Approx. 80 cm x 75 cm)
* Panel 2: 28.5\" x 24\" (Approx. 72 cm x 61 cm)Please check all photos in detail as these form part of the description .This would make a perfect craft project for up cycles or reference for modern fabric designersThanks for looking and Feel free to get in touch with any questions
