Vintage Parker “51” Vacumatic Fountain Pen – Black – Lustraloy Cap
Original vintage Parker 51 fountain pen dating to approximately 1947–1948.
This is the earlier Vacumatic filling version of the Parker 51, identifiable by the spring-loaded plunger beneath the removable blind cap. It has a black barrel, hooded nib and silver-tone Lustraloy stainless steel cap with Parker's plain arrow clip.
The plain arrow clip was introduced in 1947, and Parker ended U.S. production of the Vacumatic-filled 51 in 1948. Parker 51
TESTED & WORKING:
The pen has been water-tested. The Vacumatic plunger depresses and returns properly, the filling system successfully draws and expels liquid, and the pen writes. It was flushed extensively with clean water after testing.
Measures approximately 5-3/8 inches long capped.
The black barrel has an engraved/personalized owner's name. There is general cosmetic wear including scratches and scuffs to the barrel and cap from age and use. Please see the detailed photographs for the exact condition.
