Wonderful vintage 1930-50's theatrical makeup artist collection housed in its original machinist style multi-drawer carrying case. Primarily 100+ Max Factor Hollywood products, including theatrical face powders, Supreme grease paints, lining colors, rouge, foundation, pencils, brushes, and other related accessories. See pics for specific colors and sizes. Also includes 4 period Max Factor advertising instruction sheets. This is an authentic heavily used working collection with expected age, wear, staining and cosmetic residue throughout. All of the containers hold product but not all include powder puffs.

All cosmetic containers retain some of their original vintage product but all do not have makeup pads. Label graphics are bright, clean, and entirely legible. The collection is housed in a heavy 12x16x8" vintage multi-drawer professional-style case with green felt lining, drop-front panel construction and numerous shallow 8 wooden drawers adding immense historical character. A closely comparable style of case is documented by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures as a make-kit used by renowned Hollywood makeup artist William Tuttle. The makers identification is no longer present on this case so its original manufacture and intended purpose cannot be confirmed. Extensive period makeup staining and residue throughout indicate that this example was used as a working makeup case for many years with wear around the bottom, edges, and corners.
