Vintage c.1940-50s Evans Oval Spitfire Art Deco Sunburst/Starburst Lighter-Working (A11.3)

Beautiful authentic 1940-50s Evans Spitfire Automatic Pocket Lighter featuring a striking Mid-Century Art Deco design. This model showcases a gorgeous, deeply textured sunburst/starburst pattern radiating upward from a geometric triangle at the base. Known for its distinctively elegant, bulbous \"Cameo\" oval silhouette, this is a quintessential example of mid-century American pocket tobaccoriana.
Manufacturer - Evans Case Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts
Finish: Polished Gold-Tone Brass
Stamped - (bottom) EVANS - U.S. Pat RE. No.19023
Styling - Deeply Textured Sunburst/Starburst Pattern
The \"Plain Triangle\" Rarity: The rounded oval body on these Evans lighters is typically referred to as the \"Cameo\" model because the triangular frame at the base usually holds a raised medallion, a hand-painted enamel emblem, or a portrait profile. Having the clean, unadorned geometric triangle seamlessly integrated into the starburst lines is a scarcer, more minimalist design variant.
