Please review all photos for exact cosmetic condition.Vintage 1989 Richard Krentz “Two Salmon” wooden slide-top box featuring Pacific Northwest Coast Indigenous artwork.Richard Krentz (kwátám-us) was a Coast Salish artist of the shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation in British Columbia. He was known for Coast Salish designs appearing in carvings, jewelry, prints and wooden boxes.The lid features a striking Two Salmon design in red and black against the natural wood grain. The artwork is marked “RK 89,” dating the design to 1989.This style of wooden presentation box was used for Pacific Coast seafood and smoked salmon gift packaging. The underside retains its original “BOX ONLY MADE IN TAIWAN” label.The box is being sold empty and makes a beautiful decorative or collectible piece. It could also be used for jewelry, keepsakes, letters or other small items.Pre-owned vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
