Vintage ATHA straight peen forging hammer produced in the 1895–1915 period, identified by the early Horseshoe-A maker’s mark and the “5” weight/pattern stamp, both located on the top face of the head.

The hammer is in used vintage condition with visible age-appropriate wear on the forged steel head. The wood handle is present. There is tape wrapped around the area just below the head. The handle has not been removed and the condition of the wood underneath the tape is unknown.

The hammer’s total weight including the handle is 5 lb 6.5 oz. The straight peen design was commonly used in blacksmithing for drawing out and shaping hot steel.
