1990s Pratt & Whitney Single Stage to Orbit Concept Art Lithograph

The reverse discusses the DC-X vertical-takeoff and landing demonstrator and Pratt & Whitney liquid-hydrogen engines. DC-X, or Delta Clipper Experimental, tested reusable rocket operations beginning in August 1993. It demonstrated vertical takeoff, hovering and tail-first landing at low altitude; it was not an orbital spacecraft. NASA later developed the upgraded DC-XA. The front is a concept illustration of the broader single-stage-to-orbit ambition rather than a photograph of an operational orbital vehicle.
Details: Double-sided contractor concept-art lithograph from the 1990s. Reverse text identifies Pratt & Whitney and compares the two RL10 engine variants.
Provenance: From the estate of NASA journalist Alfred Robert ‘AR’ Hogan.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage lithograph. Please review the front and reverse photographs for condition details.
