This beautiful set is in Good Vintage Condition and displays wonderfully, but it does feature minor flaws typical of aged European earthenware:
• Crazing: Visible fine glaze crazing is present across the pieces, which is standard, expected, and highly common for vintage majolica pottery of this era.
• Chipping: One individual small cabbage bowl features three small flea-bite chips along the top rim edge. The other three bowls are free of rim chips.
• Hairlines/Cracks: There are two structural hairline cracks that do not impact display or utility because they are entirely hidden from view while the set is laid out:
1. One tight crack on the bottom rim of the main tureen underplate (completely invisible from the top).
2. One tight crack on one of the small cabbage leaf saucers (safely hidden when flat or paired under its bowl).
Please review all included listing photos closely, as they form the primary part of the visual condition description.Shipping & Handling Note:
Due to the substantial size and heavy ceramic weight of this 11-piece set, the total packed shipping weight is approximately 17 to 18.5 lbs.
