Vntg c1920s Patriotic American Flag Paper Umbrella Large Doll Size Wooden Handle:
$23.99

This is an unbranded small size patriotic paper umbrella with the design of a USA American flag, that includes the center rod straight wood smooth handle that measures approx 18\" long. The umbrella with the flag part is approx 9\" tall and has 18 wooden spokes. Bottom part is approx 4\" of red and white stripes and top approx 5\" of blue background with white stars. Based on its size, it could be for a small child; or a larger doll; or something carried in a parade. It is too small to be used as an actual umbrella as a sun shield and made of paper it is not suitable for rainy weather. Undated but based on my research, my guess is that it is from the 1920\'s. It could be earlier. Condition is very good++, with one small open area tear in the middle and a few spots at the top (see my photos). It does open by the standard push mechanism and there is a catch at the top of the rod handle but I did not want to force it open to its maximum. From a pet free and smoke free home-the item has no odor. Amazing that something this fragile could last in this very good condition. Only one like it on .
