Vintage 1930s-40s Paper Mache BLACK Cat on Fence Halloween Lantern
I purchased this item, along with the other vintage paper mache pieces, that we currently have listed, in the Upper East Coast from a collector's estate sale. This cat on the fence has the insert and is in excellent condition, particularly considering its age. Please note that the insert is not the original insert.
Handmade circa 1930-1940, the black cat on the fence measures approximately 7.75" in height, 6" across. It is in Excellent Vintage condition with very light wear overall. Please see all photos and watch our video so that you get a very clear idea of the condition and details of the piece. Very HARD TO FIND in this fantastic condition! NO deep scratches, holes, breaks or repairs. The metal handle might not be original to piece but works perfectly. If you are unfamiliar with the history of these pieces, we have included an excerpt from the web for your reference at the end of this listing. If you have anyquestions, please message us and we will promptly respond. All Halloween items will be shipped same day! The only day we cannot ship is Sunday. But,because of theholiday being so near, we feel same day shipping isappropriate. We will also include several battery powered tea lites, as because these are so delicate, an open flame is NOT recommended if you intend to illuminate theinside.
Will be packed with extra care in a box, and insured, for a safe arrival. If you would prefer speediershipping (priority, etc.) please let us know and we will make the necessary accommodations. Happy Halloween and thank you for viewing our collection!
