This patriotic World War II-era postcard was published by Grogan and promotes the health and morale of American soldiers with the bold slogan “Healthy Surroundings Make Healthy Soldiers! Victory is America’s Goal.” The multiview design features military dormitories, medical wards, dining halls, recreational rooms, and housing, reflecting the wartime emphasis on hygiene, discipline, and morale.
Grogan produced several motivational wartime postcards aimed at boosting civilian and military confidence in the U.S. war effort. These cards often depicted clean, organized environments to contrast with enemy conditions and encourage enlistment or support. Such postcards were commonly distributed on or near military bases, or sold as morale-boosting souvenirs for soldiers and their families.
Though the specific base is not identified in the collage, the architecture and facility layout are consistent with standard U.S. Army camp infrastructure during the early 1940s. The overall aesthetic and message align with WWII propaganda campaigns centered around public health, preparedness, and national unity.
