** Huckleberry Huck Hound is a fictional cartooncharacter, a blue anthropomorphic Bluetick Coonhound that speaks with aSouthern drawl. He first appeared in the series The Huckleberry Hound Show. Thecartoon was one of six TV shows to win an Emmy Award in 1960 as an OutstandingAchievement in the Field of Children\'s Programming, the first animated seriesto receive such an award.

** HUCKLEBERRY HOUND was Voiced by Daws Butler from 1958–1988;** Most of the HUCKLEBERRY HOUND short films consist of Huck trying to performjobs in different fields, ranging from policeman to dogcatcher, with resultsthat backfire, yet usually coming out on top, either through slow persistenceor sheer luck. Huck does not seem to exist in a specific time period as he hasalso been a Roman gladiator, a medieval knight, and a rocket scientist. He alsoappears in futuristic cartoons, as an intergalactic space policeman, alongsideother Hanna-Barbera characters. The trademark of Huck was his tone-deaf andinaccurate rendition of \"Oh My Darling, Clementine\", on Guitar orBanjo, often used as a running gag.

** Based on the various Hanna Barbara Animated televisionseries.
