Shipping: I know shipping has gotten pricey. I can\'t help that. I try to make it as cheap as possible with box size but I have had a couple of recent items damaged. So I will use bigger boxes and double box when possible. It will add more to the shipping but that is the reality now. Thanks.
Wonderful pair of 19th centurybronze candlesticks modeled as elephants with castellated howdahs. These are fresh to the market from a San Diego estate.
They measureabout 4.25\" and the elephants are identical, but the bases are not quite, as one is a bit more round than oval and they weigh 2 lbs 10 oz before packing. Unsigned, the bobeches are removableand there is a screw inside as seen. Definitely antique unlike the more vintage ones like Maitland Smith which do not have the crispness and details that these have.
The estate had some magnificent pieces in Asian art, and European antiques (including lots of Japanese antiques)
Excellent used antique condition with some surface wear including minor scratches, nothing critical. Wax residue and the trunks are not quite even if you look at them closely.
