MEASUREMENTS

Reliquary - 1 7/8” x 1 3/8”

Lucite Display Stand 2 1/8”

The relic of the Holy Sepulcher and the Crypt of the Nativity are considered first class relics of the Lord.

*Many people consider the Sepulcher of the Blessed Virgin to be a first class Relic, because the Virgin Mary, much like Jesus, left no earthly remains and was assumed into heaven.

Each of these relics are sacred and quite scarce.

However, the two most important relics are the Sepluchre of the Blessed Virgin, and the Altar of Saint Peter.

WOOD from ALTAR OF SAINT PETER

It’s incredible to imagine the history this altar has witnessed…Saint Peter, the first Pope and Bishop of Rome clandestinely celebrating mass for the first Christian’s, so many of whose b became saints and martyrs.

I know the relic is part the Vatican’s Reliquarium because I once saw an authenticate document for such a relic issued by the Vatican.

The document was for sale only a few years ago on a European web site. It was issued by Cardinal Patrizi Naro, the Vicar General under two popes in the mid 1800s.

The authenticate was for a relic of “Wood the Altar of Saint Peter Apostle”

I would suppose the relic doesn’t look like an altar any longer. 2000 years is a long time for wood to remain supple. Most likely the Vatican has nothing more than some tiny fragments and dust, not a usable altar.

THE HOLY SEPULCHER of JESUS

The holy tomb of Jesus where he rose from the dead on Easter. Purchased by Joseph of Arithamea, the tomb was hewn out of limestone. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is built over the sight. It’s the number one pilgrimage destination in the world.

GARDEN of OLIVES

location of the AGONY in GARDEN

The agony in the Garden of Gethsemane in the Garden of Olives, is an episode in the life of Jesus, which occurred after the Last Supper and before his betrayal and arrest, all part of the Passion of Jesus leading to his crucifixion and death.

In the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 26), when Jesus and his disciples went up to the Mount of Olives outside Jerusalem on the night when Christ was arrested; Jesus goes off by himself to pray. 1 hour later he returns to find the disciples are all sleeping.

He awakens Peter with the rebuke, \"What, would none of you stay awake with me one hour? Stay awake, and pray that you may be spared the test, for the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.\"

Judas then arrives with the Roman soldiers,

THE SEPULCHER of BLESSED MARY

Any relic of the Sepulchre of the Virgin Mary

is extremely rare because the Roman Catholic Church lost any access to the Blessed Mother’s Tomb in 1757 when the Greek Orthodox Church expelled the Franciscans from the holy tomb on Palm Sunday, (see below for more details). Any relics available today were already removed and in Rome’s possession prior to the mid 1700\'s

MOUNT CALVARY - PLACE of CRUCIFIXION,

AKA Golgotha is the place of the crucifixion. It is now included as part of the Holy Sepluchre Complex. It is visible but covered in glass.

CRYPT of BETHLEHEM - LOCATION JESUS BIRTH

A relic from the actual location of Jesus’ Birth in Bethlehem, a witness to the Nativity Jesus.

I guarantee this relic to be authentic and as described.

I obtained this relic from the estate and collection of a French Archbishop. His photo, name, and biography will be provided to the relic\'s new custodian!

Further Reading on the Seplucher of BVM

Church of the Sepulcher of Saint Mary, also Tomb of the Virgin Mary (Hebrew: קבר מרים), is a Christian tomb in the Kidron Valley - at the foot of Mount of Olives, in Jerusalem - believed by Eastern Christians and Roman Catholics to be the burial place of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The Status Quo, a 250-year old understanding between religious communities, applies to the site.

The Greek Orthodox clergy launched a Palm Sunday takeover of various Holy Land sites, including this one, in 1757 and expelled the Franciscans. The Ottomans supported this \"status quo\" in the courts.[9] Since then, the tomb has been owned by the Greek Orthodox Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church of Jerusalem, while the grotto of Gethsemane, where Jesus Suffered the Agony in the Garden, remained in the possession of the Franciscans.

To understand how serious the palm Sunday Greek orthodox takeover of the holy sites in 1757 was, one only has to consider how the church of the Holy Seplucher, The church containing the tomb of Jesus where he arose on the first Easter Sunday, the control of the church is split between orthodox and Catholic denominations, however the key to the church is held by a local Muslim family… Every morning they unlock the church and every evening they lock it again… This was considered a compromise and it’s still in used to this day

About me:

I have recently been asked by a few people why I am offering these special relics and not keeping them to my self...

After decades of collecting, I\'ve retired and sold my large home. For years I had a chapel in my house, where I not only displayed my relic collection, but also has a consecrated altar and tabernacle with the Holy Eucharist.

After my retirement, I had to downsize, and I no longer have the luxury of having an entire chapel in my home to display and store my collection. This relic is one of my treasures. I do not have room to display it, and I have stored this relic in a bank safety deposit box as I live in a possible flood zone. I\'ve realized it\'s now time for others to become the guardians of these holy relics, and venerate them properly.

I guarantee this relic to be authentic and as described. Buy with confidence!

I have been an seller for 25+ years + 100% positive response

I will happily have a look at any sale and let you if I feel the relic authentic. i.e.There is no such thing as an authentic \"tube\" reliquary, norare ANY relics of John Paul, Edith Stein, St. Faustina. the Shroud of Turin, Padre Pio authentic...they are all counterfeit, guaranteed. If it is too good to be true...it is...

-About FAKE or COUNTERFEIT RELICS

I am more and more distressed to seeblatantly fake relics for sale on . It is adisgrace. Besides being dishonest, it is a shame to take advantage of people\'s religion to rip then off and make a buck...or euro. I have been a collector of relics for 35+ years, and am considered an expert. I would be glad to have a look at any relic you are thinking about...just send me the item number and I will give you my opinion. Remember, if it is too good to be true, it is!

For example:

-there is NO SUCH THING AS A TUBE RELIQUARY! All tube relics are counterfeit.

-Most of the folded paper relics are counterfeit.

-ANY certificate or wax seal with the Papal insignia of the crossed keys of St. Peter are counterfeit. The pope has better things to do than issue relics…all relics in the Vatican are ONLY issued by the Papal Custodian of relics, or individual Bishops/Cardinals. NEVER by ANY Pope.

I have never seen an authentic first class relic of the following on the internet...they are all counterfeit, I guarantee:

- Pope John Paul 2

- Mother Theresa

- Edith Stein

- Padre Pio

- Max. Kolbe

- Faustina Kowalska

- Kateri Tekakwitha

- the Shroud of Turin

- the blood of Christ

My cousin, a parish priest, and the pastor of his church, along with his bishop, have tried for years to obtain a first class relic of Saint John Paul 2...to no avail, yet there always seems to be many available on ....beware!!

If it is too good to be true, IT IS!!!

What Does Scripture Say About Relics?

(1) The starting point for an examination of Scripture on this point should be Acts 19:11-12:

God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

(2). But these miraculous relics weren’t limited to Paul. In Acts 5:12-16, we read:

The Apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people...more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.

As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.

(3). We see this in the life of Christ Himself. Mark 5:25-34:

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed”.

Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’”But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

This is a very different miracle from the ones we’re used to. Here, simply touching the clothing of Christ heals this woman, before He’s even aware that she’s there.

St. Mark actually makes a point of including the fact that He felt the power go out from Him, but still asked who it was who had touched Him. And Jesus ascribes the healing to the woman’s faith, although it’s clear that His own power is the operative power of healing. She’s got the faith to believe that simply to touch something worn by Christ is sufficient to be healed.

Some Protestants consider that superstition, but our Lord apparently does not.

(4). Go back to the Old Testament, to Elisha. 2 Kings 13:20-21

Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.

This passage is important, because it shows that the Saint isn’t actively performing these, in the way that other miracles are performed. Even after Elisha’s dead, God works through him.

That’s the reason relics work, at the end of the day: because God wills to use all sorts of things to bring about healing and salvation. But He doesn’t choose randomly – in every case, it’s either been His Son or the Saints who He works through.

This relic contains pieces stones and wood.
