Offered here is a green dragon tea/coffee set manufactured by Eiraku in Japan in either the Meiji period (1868-1912) or the Taisho period (1912-1926). (The primary piece looks more like a coffee pot than a teapot, but I'm no expert in Japanese porcelain). Eiraku is a generational family of potters in Japan whose history goes back many decades.
This set is made of white porcelain with a jade green glaze decorated with an intricate dragon pattern in gold.
The coffee pot (or perhaps teapot) comes with its lid. Not counting the lid, it measures about 6 3/8" tall.
The sugar bowl comes with its lid. Not counting the lid, it stands about 2 3/4" tall.
The creamer is missing its lid. It also stands about 2 3/4" tall.
The demitasse cup (or teacup) is incredibly light and thin. It stands about 2 1/4" tall.
This set is in exceptionally fine condition for its age. Gold design remains remarkably intact. Points of note: 1) Lid for the CREAMER is missing; 2) There is a fleck off of the glaze of the finial handle for the sugar bowl lid; 3) There is a white spot near the base of the coffee/tea pot spout that looks like a glaze skip to me, but may be aftermarket damage caused by something abrasive rubbing against it. See close up photos for points 2) and 3).
If you are a collector of antique Eiraku porcelain, this set will be a fine addition to your collection. Will be wrapped with care and shipped with GOBS of packing material.
