Ceramic vase with Abstract Folk Dancer designby well known Korean Artist Kim Ki-Chang who went by Unbo. The artist passed away in 2001.
The cylinder shaped vase is approximately 8.75" tall with a 3.75" diameter.
The design dates to the Mid Century Modern era of the 1950's- 60's. I have included a screenshot shot of another similar image dated 1955 and another vase dated 1967.
I am not sure if this is hand painted or not. I found only one online reference on a Korean listing site with a similar shaped vase with a different yet similar image. When I translated the listing the word "transfer" came up so this may be a quality transfer image under the glaze rather than hand painted. That listing was out of stock at 300,000 Korean Won which converted to $196 USD.
His original works are selling for around $1k. Printed copies of his 1988 Olympics poster are selling for around $160. I have included some research screenshots in the photos for reference.
This vase overall is in good pre-owned vintage condition. There is all over glaze crazing which is common in ceramics with age. The top rim edge is slightly rough to the touch intentionally but there is also one glaze chip on the rim.
Please review all photos provided which includes some measurements.
