This is Real Photo Postcard (RPPC), postally used and postmarked 1940 from Juneau, Alaska. Postcard features a view of the original Chief Johnson Totem Pole in Ketchikan, Alaska as it stood circa 1940.. The Chief Johnson Totem Pole was raised in 1901 as a symbol of the Tlinget tribe\'s history and culture. It stood until 1982 when it was removed due to decay. In 1989, a replica of the original was raised.
Note that postcard has some damage at the bottom of the front of the card.
Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases and bent corners. See pics for details and conditions.
