ALL OFFERS WELCOME and CONSIDEREDCountry Western great fathers day gift for the man cave indeed.THE ATTENTION ITEM YOU WILL EVER OWN THAT WILL ATTRACT CURIOSITY and INTEREST
I have received a lot of opinions, emails, comments, idea sharing and clues to this item and its actually an even more rare item as one person shared it was a limited protection novelty creationitem from a special store called Service Merchandise from the 1970\'s that may have worked off an original similar crate. The interesting part is that this one is built very strong and solid it does not look cheap in any way especially on the sides but they observer felt if you loaded it up with the weight of coins the bottom would fall out? I will continue to add more info as it comes in, thanks to all of you for sharing your thoughts, glad you all are enjoying looking at it and I happen to really like it and its the first thing everyone comments about when they come over so if you are looking for a VIP gift for a country western fan or numismatistor anyone that is looking for a super cool vibe this is a very special item to enjoy :)
COMMERATIVE CRATE or a very UNIQUE BOX from the DENVER MINT the research shares many options but here is what it isBuffalo HEAD Nickel Wood Crate.Embossed “property of US Government Colorado, 1913, with 8 inch diameter renderings of the Buffalo on one side, and two gun white calf on the other and rendering print in circle is 7.5 inches. Integrated groove handles with the DENVER MINT and noted 1913 as picturedon both side. Not much is known about these Buffalo Nickel Crates, what is known is that there are only a few in existence. Some folks believe that they were produced by the Denver Mint in 1913 to transport the newly designed Nickels and that most of the crates made were burned as fire wood. Others believe that they were made much later in time as acommemorativecrate to honor the launch of the nickels which is special also and has a great look for the collector or western theme room. What is certain is there are only two of these known to exist and this is consider the third of these collectors box crates to be seen for sale. Especially with the lid wood top.
Item of interest for the numismatics collector and also by a Country and old west Western collectors and anyone looking for a highly unique item as a vintage statement. Perfect for the man cave or a display.
There have only been two sold in sales, one at the GNA Coin Show sale in 2007 sold for $2500.00 and one on a while back for about the same pricing.
This crate is in wonderful condition, with nice patina and some dings and scratches on the bottom as if it was used and carted around mostly that you would expect to find with age and dragging something heavy inside the old wood box.
You will also see a special marking VD or VB shows inside one of the wood panels upon the crate with wear and fading of the print on one of the wood sections inside the crate as pictured in photograph #12.
If you are looking for an extremely special piece of Americana, a wonderful decorator item, here is your chance, these Indian head Buffalo Nickel Crates don’t come on the market often. Shipping to the United States only, delivery conformation with UPS tracking will be included.NOTE : This wooden crate has the words \"Property of U.S. Government Mint\" on the lid with the Great Seal of the United States American Eagle design in black and red pictured. One side of the crate (either the front of back depending on how you are looking at it) has the buffalo side of the coin pictured with \"United-States of America\" and \"Epurris Union\" at the top and \"Five Cents\" under the buffalo. On the other side is the Indian Head with \"Liberty\" to the right and \"1913\" at the bottom with the letter D for DENVER MINT.
As you see both ends have \"1913 Property of U.S. Government Denver Mint Colorado\" on them. All writing on the box is in black, and the corners are dovetailed but also has 3 regularly spaced nails on each side of the front and back.
Size of this beautiful looking Bison, Buffalo head nickle and Indian head 5 CENT BOX theme crate is:16 3/4 inches long
9 1/2 inches wide (sides)
10 1/2 inches high / tall

I can\'t make any guaranteed or any exact claims or comments of the origin or its original use of this crate and can only describe it based on information I have gathered on the internet and what others have shared is all up to speculation but it is exactlywhat you see and it is how it presents itself so this is what you will get and in any context is a limited production scarce item that rarely comes to market for sale, enjoy.
If you have any information about this crate please message me so I can share more and add additional info for others.

Being sold \" as is \" as pictured. Pleaseemail me with any questions that you have, thank you.
