NSU FOXfor 1951-52A SHIPMENT of the first 1951/52NSU Fox machines has been re-ceived by Butler & Smith in New Yorkfor distribution to their dealer organiza-tion throughout the United States.Notable among the changes made inthese new models is a four-speed shift,which replaces the old three speed.Streamlining has been accentuated andthe front and rear springing are adjust-able by hand.The Fox now comes in a striking newWine Red with chrome trim on all vitalparts to accentuate the beauty of designand advanced engineering.This sturdy little lOOc.c. lightweight isa smooth running four-stroke, overheadvalve single that develops 6 horsepowerat 6500 rpm with a top speed of 55 mphclaimed by the makers.The oil is not mixed with the gas,rather lubrication is fed under pressurethrough a patented jet design. The driveis through helical gears to the trans-mission (no primary chain).Backed by the know-how and experi-ence which has produced the NSU linefor over 70 years, the Fox underwentrigid testing before it was placed on themarket.
