A superb and rare photo of the Indian 8-valve V-twin worksracer shortly after breaking the absolute European speed record with a speed of 96.00 mph (154.5 km/h)!
This magnificent and most historic photo was taken on the 11th of July 1921 at the Northern Italian circuit of Cremona. That day, Nazzaro wrote history by achieving the fastest speed ever recorded by a car, train, or airplane in Europe. He did it with an ex Indian factory eight valve (!!!) V-twin. The Indian motocycle factory in Springfield, Mass., started building these incredible machines as early as 1911! In 1914, the bikes received a new, short wheelbase, rigid frame. One of them was shipped to Europe, where it was used by Biaggio Nazzaro to write eternal motorcycle history!
This is a very nice and very rare non period photo that reflects a wonderful era of Harley ‘s motorcycle history in a wonderful way. This is your rare chance to ownthis photo, therefore it is printed in a nice large format ofca. 13x 19cm. It makes it perfectly suitable for framing!
