Early teen's Savage bicycle with a Hawthorne Flyer tank. This bike was built as a rider and has a mix of antique parts. The frame and fork were repainted. The wheelset is a custom pair of Velocity 700c Blunt 35 rims laced to vintage hubs with cooling fins. These wheels look similar to the wood wheels it likely came with. Many of the parts were re-chromed. The drivetrain is a skip-tooth setup and the chain, not currently on the bike, will be included in the sale. I believe the bike was sold and marketed by the D.P. Harris company and was built by the H.P. Snyder company, the same company that built Rollfast branded bicycles and Hawthorne bicycles for Montgomery Ward.
