In the hand written text on the front and reverse provisions and general features are made for the traveler to bring his African companion.

General Jaime Ortega y Olleta(Tauste,Zaragoza, February 28, 1816 -Tortosa,Tarragona, April 18, 1860), was Spanish soldierandpolitician, the main protagonist of the failedCarlist uprising of 1860.

The holders signature is on the reverse edge; JuanCruz Perez

Spanish, with printed Spanish Coat of Arms on beige laidbond paperwatermarked; " Pna ".

Center lower front has the tax stamp of The Province of the Canary Islands ( Canarias ).

Country of Spain blind embossed seal.

Dimensions : 12" x 16 3/4".

Condition is very fine with several tiny book worm holes. Light handling.

Initialed by Canary Island officials.

A vertical fold lines near center.

Condition isconsistent with its 188 years.

Historicrarely seen document.
