Item Description...

This is a vintage Tandy Leathercraft kit from the 1950s called the Safety Smoker - model 806. It is made up of a wood frame that fits a bakelite ashtray and includes 4 leather strips that you tool and glue to the frame. It all comes int he original box that is wrapped with brown tape. It looks like all of the pieces are there. I originally thought the metal studs were to hold the leather strips, but I think that they are actually feet that go into the bottom of the frame. It comes with 5 in case you lose one! The contents of the kit are in very good shape for their age and ready to be assembled.
